The Alcoa Highway Project is part of a multiphase improvement and realignment of SR115 Alcoa Highway. Bridgepoint is currently working with Charles Blalock and Sons of three separate sections of this project. The first project started in February 2016 and includes 1.7 miles of highway widening with median barrier rail, collector roads, and pedestrian facilities. The project includes ten retaining walls, three bridges and three roundabouts.
There are many utility relocations involved with the project. Other projects on the route two more sections of widening and realignment including the relocation of Hunt Road and better access points to McGhee Tyson Airport. Total Project Estimates = $72 Million, $39 Million, and $64 Million
